The range of Special Interest Group meetings – scheduled this year a month before Yearly Meeting (YM) itself – was as wide as ever. Most took place during working hours, restricting attendance, so we hope you find this summary useful. Lebanon and Palestine Friends cancel YM

Friends in Lebanon and Palestine have been forced to cancel their Middle East Yearly Meeting (YM) due to the war. Middle East YM was due to meet this month, on 6-10 April, for the first time since the 1990s. Michael Eccles, executive secretary of Friends World Committee – Europe & Middle East Section (FWCC-EMES), told the Friend: ‘Around fifty people had registered from all over the world, including Australia, Britain, Ireland, Palestine, Lebanon, and the USA.’
