Worship God, don’t use God

An important seminar on Mediation Capacity Building was held at the University of Bradford earlier this year. Peter Speirs, of the Quaker Peace Studies Trust, reports

‘Worship God, don’t just use God’ was just one of the messages given by Saeb Erekat, chief negotiator for the Palestinian Authority at the United Nations, during a two-day seminar on ‘Mediation Capacity Building’ held at Bradford University in February. His public lecture was attended by about 200 people, including university staff and students, local community and faith workers and Quakers from several parts of the north of England.
