Woodbridge Meeting took part in a world war one centenary event this month, with its newly adopted ‘Tree for Peace’ playing a key role.

Quaker exhibits and a table stood beneath the large red maple tree on Kingston Field at the event in Woodbridge on 8 July, which was sponsored by the Royal British Legion (RBL).

A Friend from Woodbridge Meeting told the Friend: ‘There was much interest in the accounts of the Friends’ Ambulance Unit in both world wars.’

Visitors stopped at the display to have ‘warm and productive conversations’ about the Peace Testimony and Quakers.
