Women’s History Month is marked
Stories of Quaker women in history are being shared during Women's History Month
Friends General Conference (FGC) has pledged to share stories of Quaker women in history throughout March to mark Women’s History Month.
Its monthly newsletter Vital Friends will highlight ‘women in ministry who have contributed to the life of the community’, and ‘seven Quaker women who were voices for change’.
These include Mary Dyer, Lucretia Mott, Alice Paul, Margaret Fell, Sarah Mapps Douglass and the two Grimke Sisters.
