Winning the carbon war

Anthony Woolhouse writes about an inspiring initiative: the West Solent Solar Co-operative

World attention was focussed at the end of 2015 on the United Nations Conference on Climate Change. 2016 will be a year of challenges and opportunities. West Solent Solar Co-operative is a 2.4MW solar PV farm built on a restored gravel pit. It was connected to the grid on 27 June 2014 and provides clean electricity to about 650 households.
