What shape my soul?

We talk about our soul, spirit, nonphysical being as something coming from inside us, contained within us. When we are in Meeting for Worship, are our spirits combining with each other? If so, would this be as discrete entities, like ribbons on a maypole weaving patterns around each other? Or would it be more diffuse, like gas intermingling, so there is no definition between spirits?
