What are Quakers?

At heart we Quakers are mystics,
Experiencing the Light,
We trust in love and peace,
And choose to heal, not fight.
We’re not so keen on Theology
With its complicated theories.
We stick to our simple testimonies,
And heed our Advices and Queries.
As for beliefs about God,
We don’t have any creeds.
We look for experience of God,
And translating that into deeds.
We Quakers are quite a mixture,
A really diverse band,
But we try to care for each other,
Offering a tender hand.
God exists in all of us
So we all have equal worth,
When the world wakes up to this,
We will have heaven on earth.
