by Tara Craig 8th July 2016

A fifty-strong audience attended the historic Oxfordshire Meeting house at Adderbury on 19 June for this year’s Adderbury Gathering.

Gwithian Doswell, an Oxford Friend, shared her eyewitness stories from the West Bank and Israel.

She spoke of her experiences as a two-time volunteer human rights monitor with the World Council of Churches Ecumenical Accompaniment Programme in Palestine and Israel (EAPPI).

Gwithian described daily life under military occupation and told the audience about the work of the Israeli peace movement.

I am regularly in touch with an Israeli/Palestinian Organisation, One Voice Europe.
I get regular updates from their site No sides/ but solutions I learn much about life in Israel and Palestine that is not available in our media.  These young Israeli and Palestinian are critical of the Israeli State and are prepared to speak out.  There’s hope!
