Website for national Quaker peace rally

Quakers have set up a new website to support their upcoming national peace rally.
The website, ‘A Silent Walking Vigil For Peace’, already includes details about timings, the route, and answers to other questions. There is also a place to register for further information.
Steve Day, from Ashburton Meeting, told the Friend that, over the coming weeks, there will be further detail. ‘This has been set up via Quaker Faith in Action plus Friends across the UK who have been meeting regularly since the beginning of this year on Zoom to organise this national peace initiative in London, now planned for Saturday 19 September 2026, starting 12.00 midday from Victoria Gardens.’
Urging Friends to join and promote the mass vigil, he said: ‘We need a very loud silence.’
