What’s the value of a Meeting house? Felicity Cox reports on how her Meeting considered the lack of one

In June this year at Wymondham we began preparations to host Area Meeting, and to offer a presentation on the life of our Local Meeting. We decided to look at the fact that we are the only Meeting within our area without a Meeting house, and to consider how we felt about that.
We circulated a questionnaire to everyone on our list asking:

  • In your experience, what are the advantages of not having a Meeting house?
  • In your experience, what are the disadvantages of not having a Meeting house?
  • How do you think having a Meeting house might change our Local Meeting?
  • Any other thoughts?
