A Friend from Warwick Meeting wrote an article in a local newspaper about Quakerism. John Sheldon wrote on 25 September about ‘following the practices of being a Quaker everyday’ in the Leamington Courier. The article begins: ‘It is odd writing a piece called “I Believe” when my Quaker faith is not about belief at all! In fact, our church is non-credal… Instead, our faith is based on practice, and there are two aspects to this: the practice of our prayer and worship, and the practice in our lives.’

The feature goes on to describe sitting in silence in a Meeting: ‘As I wait quietly, and let the clamour of my mind fade away, I can become aware of a still, small voice which tells me what love requires of me.’
