Not long ago I had a holiday travelling in Denmark and Sweden. During this time I realised that there is a great similarity between my enjoyment of making journeys and the enjoyment of listening to music. More recently I have realised that this similarity also has something to say about spiritual awareness.  I enjoy travelling for its own sake: the journey is as important as arriving at the destination; but I should add that it is travelling by train or boat, and not on an aeroplane. Travelling by car is not much good since, if you are driving, you have to concentrate on controlling the car, so there is not much opportunity for studying what can be seen either side of the road.
