Friends are being called to join the Time to Act on Climate Change march that is being held in London on 7 March.

The march will bring people together on the streets of London to demand real action on climate change. The organisers intend to lobby politicians seeking election. They argue that there is ‘no mandate for climate-wrecking business as usual’.

Quakers will be marching within the ‘multi-faith bloc’. Maya Williams, of Quaker Peace & Social Witness, suggested that Friends might also be interested in joining other blocs. She mentioned ‘No War! No Warming!’, ‘Divestment’, and ‘Elders for Future Generations’.

Those keen to carry Quaker posters or placards should meet at 11am on the steps of St Mary Le Strand.
