Devon Area Meeting sent a minute, including this poem by Joe Miller, to Meeting for Sufferings. ‘Courage to Save the Planet’ suggests that Friends be asked to hold politicians in the Light for a minute each evening at 9.00pm, ‘seeking to influence them to have the courage and leadership to take necessary actions to address climate change’.

‘The Blue Marble’ is a famous photograph of the Earth, taken on 7 December 1972, by the crew of the Apollo 17 spacecraft, at a distance of about 45,000 kilometres (28,000 miles).
