Thought for the Week: Quaker cheer

'Quaker cheer' by Rosie Adamson-Clark

Heavy clouds pushed gently
back by a pale
heatless sun

Garden birds singing louder
signals to me that change
is here

the silent swoop and swish
of an owl’s wings…
winter colours fading now

spring really has begun

Friends gather to reflect
in stillness
a nod a smile

a warmly grasped hand
the blossoming of worship
sharing… heartfelt caring

a look to the Light in Quaker
cheer… outside the sign
