The riots: Where do we go from here?

As I write this, three months have passed since the riots in the UK. We’ve all been forced to think more deeply about where our society is heading. The causes are varied and complex. We need strategies to police riots and to deal with ‘gang culture’. But this is only dealing with symptoms. What is the underlying disease, and how do we address what David Cameron refers to as ‘the broken society’?
