Friends in Rwanda have thanked the worldwide Quaker community

Rwanda Yearly Meeting has thanked Friends throughout the world for supporting its appeal for funding to help install thirty-five lightning rods required by a government decree.
Cecile Nyiramana, clerk of Rwanda Yearly Meeting, said: ‘Fifty-nine churches were closed in March, and today forty-two have been reopened. We thank God that seventy per cent have been completed.
‘The schools, the Peace Garden and the Friends Peace House and churches are now protected and we praise the Lord for that.’
Cecile Nyiramana added: ‘We are very thankful for the great support received when Rwanda was going through the hardship of churches shutting down, and grateful to all Friends who responded promptly. May God bless you so much.’
