Swiss Friends consider refugees
Friends in Switzerland met from 13 to 16 May

‘Out of sight and out of mind? Refugees and us in Switzerland today’ was the theme of Switzerland Yearly Meeting, which took
place from 13 to 16 May at Herzberg.
Forty-nine Friends and attenders, including five teenagers, took part in the event. Visitors came from Britain and German Yearly Meetings. Co-clerk Anne Lotte Heyn-Cossalter told the Friend that this Yearly Meeting was quite different to others held by Swiss Friends, as there were three main concerns to consider: refugees, CO2 compensation and sustainability.
Anne Lotte explained: ‘We decided on two projects and put together a list of ideas on how to make our lives more sustainable.’
