Friends will meet in Derbyshire to discuss the future of Living Witness

by Tara Craig 23rd September 2016

The future development of the Living Witness group and how Friends address the challenges of implementing the Canterbury Commitment is to be addressed by Friends.

Members of Living Witness, the Quaker sustainability group, will meet at Bamford Quaker Community in Derbyshire from 7-9 October.

Living Witness coordinator Laurie Michaelis described the gathering as ‘an opportunity to spend a creative weekend working out new ways forward for Living Witness’.

It follows a trustees meeting earlier this year where, he said, ‘there was energy for strengthening some of the things we’ve done in the past’. This included visiting Meetings, organising national Living Witness gatherings, and running experiential retreats.
