Stourbridge peace pole destroyed
A peace pole in Stourbridge has been vandalised
A peace pole put up by Stourbridge Friends and Churches Together in Stourbridge just two months ago has been destroyed.
The pole, which was in Mary Stevens Park, carried messages in English, French, Hindi and Arabic.
Stourbridge Friend Tricia Bradbury told the Evesham Journal: ‘It is so sad. The aim of the pole was to show how multicultural Stourbridge is… I don’t know what would lead someone to damage something like this and destroy the message of peace and harmony the pole was installed for.’

I just wish to say that it is somewhat misleading to state that it has been destroyed. It has been damaged but it is being repaired as we consider how best to return it back into the park.
