‘Something good’ at the Peace Hub
An art workshop will explore light and dark
The Peace Hub, the Quaker Peace and Justice Centre, is hosting an art workshop to celebrate Birmingham Cathedral’s tercentenary.
The workshop is part of Something Good, a multi-faith arts programme that is being led by writer Mandy Ross. She will work with participants on the theme ‘Exploring Light and Dark in Different Faith Traditions’.
Participants will share words and thoughts on light and dark cutouts. The final collection will form part of the artistic celebrations at Birmingham Cathedral this autumn.
‘The aim of Something Good is to bring Quakers and people from different faiths together at Peace Hub, and allow them to explore peace and justice in a creative way,’ Peace Hub coordinator Peter Doubtfire told the Friend.
‘We hope that this will be the start of more interfaith work at the Hub, including working with other local faith groups on climate change around the time of the Paris Climate Conference.’
