A work by the artist Ron Waddams, who was a member of Jordans Meeting, was unveiled at the Palestinian Mission in London at a ceremony on Tuesday 28 November.

The painting, Lamentation and Resolution, was Ron Waddams’ response to the deaths of hundreds of men, women and children in the Palestinian refugee camps of Sabra and Shatila between 16 and 18 September 1982 at the hands of the Lebanese Phalangist militia.

The painting was unveiled by Manuel Hassassian, Palestinian ambassador to the UK (pictured right with Jan Jacobs, the artist’s daughter), and will be on permanent display at the Palestinian Mission until it can be transferred to Palestine.
