Richard Plantagenet

On 26 March Richard III was reinterred in a ceremony at Leicester Cathedral. The city’s faith groups were invited to share their thoughts on the occasion and to reflect on his life. Anne Fishenden wrote a statement on behalf of Leicester Friends:

They did so to prevent further humiliation of the battered corpse by an excited mob, and then buried him with reverence according to the rites of the church.
