The Religious Society of Friends (Quakers) is the first charity to declare donations under the terms of the new Lobbying Act.

The Society was one of twelve charities to register for the Act, known formally as The Transparency of Lobbying, Non-party Campaigning and Trade Union Administration Act 2014. The Act requires non-party campaigners to declare donations of more than £7,500 spent on campaigning activities.

The donations declared were £20,000 from Lewes Meeting, and two donations, of £5,000 and £3,000 respectively, from Aylesbury Meeting. The donations supported the work of peacemakers and, as such, were considered as falling under the Lobbying Act.
