Friends joined the Global Day of Action on Military Spending (GDAMS) on Monday 13 April.

Quaker Peace and Social Witness (QPSW) activists were among those taking part in the annual event.

GDAMS was launched in 2011, and is timed to coincide with the release of the annual world military expenditure figures by the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI). World military expenditure totalled $1.8 trillion in 2014, a fall of 0.4 per cent in real terms since 2013, SIPRI announced on 13 April.
