Quakers and Business conference
'Quakers Working Together' will be the theme of the conference in November
This year’s Quakers and Business conference will focus on the theme of ‘Quakers Working Together’.
The conference, organised by the Quakers and Business Group, will be held at Friends House, London, on 7 November. It will bring together Quaker organisations and Friends engaged with business.
Nick Pyatt and Paul Gibson, of the Quakers and Business Group, write: ‘Our vision is for Quakers to play a full role in enriching the business community for the benefit of the wider world, the people and the environment on which it depends and has an impact. This conference is a step towards this vision.’
They added: ‘We look to strengthen our impact on business as it relates to our individual concerns and testimonies.
The conference will provide an opportunity to share experience and draw on each other, during and following the conference, to find ways to work towards our vision.’
‘Business is a fact of life for Friends and others.The conference aims to broaden the engagement of Friends with business and to strengthen the social and environmental value of business for all.’
