Quaker forced migration report launched
Friends efforts to respond to displaced persons in Europe are the focus of a new report
The Quaker Council for European Affairs (QCEA) and Quaker Asylum and Refugee Network (QARN) have published a report on Friends’ efforts to respond to displaced persons in Europe.
Quaker Faith in Action: Friends’ work in the area of forced migration builds on feedback from Quakers across Europe and explores the important work done by individuals, Meetings and organisations in response to the unprecedented humanitarian challenge.
The report also includes ideas and links to resources to help Friends who would like to get involved in similar work.
‘Friends are responding to the challenge of forced migration according to their consciences, their means and their abilities. The range of work is inspiring,’ said Kate McNally, Forced Migration Project coordinator at QCEA.
‘We are pleased to be able to support individual Friends and Meetings to connect with each other and learn from each other,’ she added.
