Quaker campaigner makes ‘Pink List’
Clare Dimyon featured in the Independent of Sunday's 'Pink List'
Quaker activist Clare Dimyon is one of the most inspiring gay people in Britain – according to this year’s ‘Pink List.’ The list, published annually by the Independent on Sunday, names the 101 individuals considered to have done most to make life better for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) people in the UK.
Clare came in at number 27. She has successfully urged UK embassies to support LGBT rights in central and eastern Europe. She was described by the judges as a ‘seemingly inexhaustible Quaker campaigner’.
