Quaker Social Action (QSA) has launched its first project with Mind, the mental health charity.

‘Mindful Money’ is a free ten-week course, taking place in Haringey, North London. It has been designed for people who feel anxious, stressed or depressed because of financial problems. Participants will learn how to manage their money.

QSA director Judith Moran told the Friend: ‘Our whole approach is about bringing people together, sharing troubles, sharing successes, bonding over fun and interactive exercises, gaining confidence and communication skills. Haringey Mind will be taking all of this on board when delivering Mindful Money.’

The new project is part of QSA’s ‘Futureproof’ initiative, which is working towards financial capability among low-income residents in Haringey.
