Pilgrimage brings understanding
Young Friends take part in a Quaker pilgrimage
Twenty young people took part in a Quaker pilgrimage to the 1652 Country at the end of October. They were aged between twelve and fifteen.
The participants visited Sawley Meeting House, Pendle Hill, Brigflatts, Swarthmoor Hall, Lancaster Castle and the Quaker Tapestry.
Among the comments made following the pilgrimage were: ‘I feel I have spiritually grown through this event’, ‘I feel I now understand more about Quakers’ and ‘I have learnt a lot about how Quakers started’.
