'I have followed his spirit to a better place.’
I have a bit of a preoccupation with the Quakers of the eighteenth century, and Samuel Fothergill of Warrington in particular. I completed my master’s degree dissertation on him in 2018. He got me through losing my mother and, within a short space of time after completing my dissertation, I found that I missed him and his ministry in my life. I started to work on writing a new story about this man’s life and work.
