Sabina Tzikas reports on a day of challenging and sometimes uncomfortable engagement

by Sabina Tzikas 16th October 2015

On Saturday 26 September around sixty Friends from Area Meetings around the country met for a one-day conference at Friends House in London. It was organised by the Quaker Committee for Christian and Interfaith Relations (QCCIR) with Quaker Peace & Social Witness (QPSW).

Our theme was interfaith peacebuilding. The day brought opportunities to hear and share experiences of working with Jewish and Muslim communities: the common issues and challenges of trying to live peacefully with each other; a chance to learn of Quaker collaborations with existing local and national groups; and what other opportunities we could explore to further this work and how we could be involved.
