New edition of Quaker faith & practice
Fifth edition of Quaker faith & practice published
The decision to recognise same and opposite sex marriage as equal, made at Yearly Meeting in 2009, has been included in amendments to chapter sixteen in the fifth edition of Quaker faith & practice, which has just been published.
It is one of eight chapters that have been edited since the fourth edition was published in 2009.
Paul Parker, recording clerk of Quakers in Britain, described the book, which draws on Quaker writings spanning 360 years, as ‘an invaluable, challenging and inspiring guide to life today’.
The new edition of Quaker faith & practice is available in hardback, paperback and for the first time in a range of e-book formats, including for Kindle and iPad. It is offered online and audio versions will be available.
