Michael Addison has been appointed director of Northfield Ecocentre, a Central England Area Meeting project in Birmingham.

Michael will work three days a week from 23 February, heading a team of six paid staff and ten volunteers. His initial priority will be to develop a new Ecocentre strategy for the next three to five years.

‘The Ecocentre has been here for five years now and is established. Our priority is to increase our impact,’ he told the Friend.

Michael joins from the Arts Council, where he was relationship manager for theatre across the Midlands.

Northfield Ecocentre works with the community to find practical ways to live better and protect the environment. Projects include community gardens, sewing and crafts and a warm homes initiative.
