New BYM department
'No roles have been made redundant in the reorganisation, although some job descriptions and job titles have been updated.'
Britain Yearly Meeting (BYM) has set up a new department called Quaker Church Affairs.
The new department brings together staff from Friends House Library and Archives, the Events and Committee Services team, and the Recording Clerk’s Office, with the aim of supporting the community of Quakers across Britain to thrive.
BYM told the Friend that no roles have been made redundant in the reorganisation, although some job descriptions and job titles have been updated.
‘Internally the new arrangements came into action on Monday, April 4, but the department will only meet as a group for the first time in June or July after preparing for Junior Yearly Meeting, Yearly Meeting, and to reopen the Reading Room.’
BYM said that the changes mean that the Communications and Services Department has been laid down, while the Communications and Fundraising team becomes a department of BYM.
