Seven new co-optees have been appointed to JRCT's grant committees

The Joseph Rowntree Charitable Trust (JRCT) has announced the appointment of seven new co-optees to its grant committees.

Avila Kilmurray, former director of the Community Foundation for Northern Ireland, has joined JRCT’s Ireland committee.

The Sustainable Future committee has three new members: Katy Roelich, senior research fellow at the University of Leeds, David Hunter, consultant solicitor with Bates Wells and Braithwaite, and Jyotsna Ram, who has recently completed a PhD on ecologically sustainable systems of food and energy provision.

Jessica Metheringham, parliamentary engagement officer at Friends House, London, and Penny Shepherd, former director of UKSIF (the UK Sustainable Investment and Finance Association), have joined the Power and Accountability committee.

Equality Challenge Unit chief executive David Ruebain has joined the Rights and Justice Committee.

The Trust said that it is likely to make further co-optee appointments in the coming months.
