Friend to travel the UK highlighting economic issues

A Friend will be travelling around the country during the next eighteenth months highlighting issues relating to money and the current financial system.

Sue Holden, of Wensleydale and Swaledale Area Meeting, has taken up the subject as a concern and gained the backing of the Joseph Rowntree Charitable Trust.

She told the Friend: ‘I will be visiting Quaker Meetings and sharing with Friends my concern about the ways in which our financial system compromises every one of our Quaker testimonies.’

She explained: ‘It doesn’t have to be this way. I want to show that it is possible to escape from this modern form of slavery.

‘I have sent out my leaflet to all Area Meeting clerks, offering a workshop based on the monetary reform ideas of PositiveMoney.org.uk, for whom I am a trained speaker.’
