Meeting for Sufferings: Welcome

'Around thirty Friends gathered in The Light to see a clerking table positioned between two large screens showing the digital diaspora.'

October 2, morning session

You could sense the smiles under the masks as representatives arrived at Friends House for the first Meeting for Sufferings (MfS) there since the pandemic struck. It was a blended Meeting, with most attendees sticking to Zoom, but around thirty Friends gathered in The Light to see a clerking table positioned between two large screens showing the digital diaspora. Chairs were suitably distanced, and microphones were positioned to the sides so that all contributions could be heard. The set-up worked perfectly, a testament to the good work done by the preparation team.
