Extra Meetings added for the proper discernment of all matters
Early business was processed quickly and a consideration on Meeting dates was reached sooner than expected. Representatives will meet in person in October, with a residential in 2022. Other Meetings will remain online. But some Friends were concerned that there weren’t enough Meetings for the proper discernment of all matters. One asked for two to be added, which received support from those who wanted to look closely at MfS structure and responsibilities. A representative pointed out that, where BYM trustees had been very efficient during the pandemic, it put them ahead of MfS. This made them ‘out of sync’, added another. The minute confirmed the addition of the extra Meetings.
