Friends have paid tribute to Mairi Campbell-Jack, the former parliamentary engagement officer for Quakers in Scotland, who has moved to the Scottish Green Party at Holyrood.

According to St Andrews Quaker Joyce Taylor: ‘Mairi has been working with us since January 2015 and we are sad that she is leaving. However, we recognise that this is a move to a full-time job and a great career step for her. We will not lose touch as she will be the contact person for Scottish Green MSPs and so we are sure to be speaking to her about Quaker concerns. We wish her well in her new position. We are working with staff at Friends House on the recruitment of a new PEO [parliamentary engagement officer].’
