Love and Light

Ron Hillier was a Friend at Oxford Meeting. He wrote several articles for a monthly newsletter, Forty-Three, before he died at the end of December 2012. His final contribution expressed his personal sense of what Quakerism was about.

As many of you will know, I have recently been diagnosed with a terminal illness and my future life expectancy is not great. There is a saying: we are not human beings on a spiritual journey, we are spiritual beings on a human journey.
