London Quakers explore ‘Climate Fresk’
'o I know it all now? No, but I am strengthened to think again about what I can do. Discussing things with other people was really helpful.’
London Quakers are hoping to hold another climate justice gathering in Friends House, after the success of this year’s event.
This spring’s Climate Fresk was aimed at ‘sharpening’ understanding of climate change. Described as a ‘scientific collaborative and creative workshop’, the session gave information on how humans are disrupting the climate system.
Frances Touch, of Epsom Meeting, said after attending: ‘I thought I could do with sharpening up my understanding. I’m not as clear about it all as I would like to be… Do I know it all now? No, but I am strengthened to think again about what I can do. Discussing things with other people was really helpful.’
Describing the event as a ‘valuable afternoon’, London Quakers said: ‘We’d love to find someone who would coordinate another Climate Fresk at Friends House, supported by London Quakers (meaning a free room) and lots of resources.’
