When did you first develop an interest in issues of poverty and social justice in the Third World?

I always had a concern. The active interest began when I went to an Oxfam workshop in Liverpool, where I was studying to be a vet. Once qualified I went to Northern Ireland where I set up the Dungannon Oxfam Group and then I was involved with the local Oxfam Group everywhere I went. When I got married and moved to Garstang, I thought that I would not do so much.
