Kindlers put spotlight on Quaker worship

'As far as we know, Quaker worship is unique and the hypothesis might be that this form of worship is in some sense an important part of the human experience.'

The Quaker group The Kindlers is seeking to hear from Friends for a new booklet on Quaker worship. James McCarthy, who is writing the booklet, told the Friend: ‘Apart from asking for people’s responses to [specific set questions], we will also be seeking to interview some people in more depth about their experience of Meeting for Worship. The idea is to try to get a hold of what works by understanding what happens in the Meeting for Worship. As far as we know, Quaker worship is unique and the hypothesis might be that this form of worship is in some sense an important part of the human experience. Our worship could have an effect on the way the world works. So understanding it and making it better could be useful!’
