Junior Yearly Meeting 2013
Location and dates of JYM 2013 are announced
The location and dates of Junior Yearly Meeting (JYM) for 2013 have been announced. The gathering is to be held at the Pioneer Centre near Kidderminster from 6 to 10 April.
Nominations for young people attending JYM should be in by 30 November 2012, although places may still be available after this date.
JYM elder David Bamford said: ‘Junior Yearly Meeting is a five day residential about having fun, building relationships and making friends. It is planned and facilitated by a team of young people with the support of adult volunteers. During the week we will explore our theme “Talking about Quakerism: Is it oat-so simple”.
‘JYM is formed of many parts. There are sessions such as chat rooms, speakers and a Business Meeting along with social activities such as a themed disco and a quiz night. JYM will also include daily epilogues and optional prologues. JYM is only as good as the people who come and we aim to welcome everyone.’
JYM is open to young people aged fifteen to eighteen. For more information go to www.quaker.org.uk/junior-yearly-meeting-2013
