Juliet Prager leaves BYM post
‘It’s been such a privilege to serve Quakers in this role for the past nine years.'
Juliet Prager, the deputy recording clerk of Britain Yearly Meeting (BYM) since 2013, will be leaving her post at the end of May.
The Yorkshire Friend said: ‘It’s been such a privilege to serve Quakers in this role for the past nine years. I’ve decided to move on, because I need to concentrate on supporting family members. I’m looking forward to cheering on the next deputy recording clerk, and I’ll still be doing what I can to help Quakers thrive, grow and change the world, mostly through my local Quaker community.’
Paul Parker, recording clerk of BYM, said: ‘Juliet has made a huge and lasting contribution to Quakers in Britain. We’re now looking for another amazing Quaker to work alongside me and BYM’s great staff. It’s an exciting time for the organisation, and I’m looking forward to finding the right Friend to offer service to our Quaker community in this way.’
Juliet Prager has been partly based at the new Quakers in Britain Yorkshire Centre attached to Central Leeds (Carlton Hill) Meeting House.
