Friends attended an Interfaith Celebration for Animals

by Tara Craig 4th November 2016

Members of Quaker Concern for Animals (QCA) attended the thirteenth annual Interfaith Celebration for Animals at Golders Green Unitarian Church in London on 22 October.

The service was led by Feargus O’Connor, the minister at Golders Green Unitarian Church who is also chair of the Animal Interfaith Alliance and secretary of the World Congress of Faiths. The keynote address was given by Martin Henig, vice president of the Anglican Society for the Welfare of Animals and board member of the Animal Interfaith Alliance and an Anglican Franciscan. A candle was lit for the world’s animals and there were readings from representatives of several religions.
