Holocaust remembered
Holocaust Memorial Day to be marked on 27 January

Quakers are preparing to join with others to mark Holocaust Memorial Day on Sunday. Organisers say it is a chance to learn lessons from the Nazi holocaust and other cases of genocide.
Events with Quaker input include an event on Tuesday, 29 January, in Dewsbury. Local Quaker Ann Bettys told the Friend it is focused on building respect between communities as they remember the consequences of hatred and racism. Quakers will also be present at a multicultural event run by Bolton Interfaith Council, with input from local schools.
