High Leigh flush with eco-friendly developments
News from Meeting for Sufferings
‘We’ve done extensive work to reduce our carbon emissions and we generate a degree of energy from roof tiles that turn light into electricity. We also use a rainwater filtration system and that water is used to flush our toilets’, explained Ian Andrews, centre manager at High Leigh, where Meeting for Sufferings was held. Although there are limited recycling facilities on site, Ian explained that all glass used at the centre is recycled after use.
