Andrew Feinstein speaks at Hexham Debates

by Ian Kirk-Smith 14th February 2014

Writer and broadcaster Andrew Feinstein argued at the second Hexham Debate last Saturday that the arms industry is a ‘perfect storm for corruption’.  Andrew, the director of Corruption Watch UK, an NGO combating corruption by governments and corporations, talked about ‘The shadow world: inside the global arms trade’. He described a secretive world and revealed the corruption and cover-ups behind several weapons deals.

The Hexham Debates are sponsored by Hexham Quaker Meeting. This is the seventh series of debates. The first speaker in this year’s series was Mike Berners-Lee, who addressed the problem of global warming and how it could be tackled.
